Product Description

50% GLYCOLIC ACID GEL PEEL

Formulated with Kojic Acid, Bearberry, Mulberry & Licorice

Size: 15mL e 0.5 oz

What is Glycolic Acid?

Glycolic Acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that is derived from sugar cane. It is highly regarded as the miracle worker of skin care products because it effectively treats numerous skin conditions. Glycolic Acid has a unique advantage because it has the smallest molecular structure of all the AHAs. This enables it to easily penetrate the top layer of the skin to treat fine lines, acne, enlarged pores, blackheads, dullness, oiliness, rough skin texture and so much more.

There are several skin care products (such as lotions, creams, cleansers and serums) that contain glycolic acid but creams and cleansers do not have a concentration of 50% glycolic acid. This peel is recommended for those who have successfully tolerated our 30/3 Glyco-Lactic Acid peel and would like something stronger. Those new to chemical peels should not start with a 50% Glycolic Acid Peel.

Benefits of 50% Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel

1

 Exfoliates and Refines Skin Texture

This 50% Glycolic Acid will dissolve the “glue” that holds the old, rough, dry, dead skin cells that sit on the surface of the skin. When these dead skin cells are sloughed away, the fresh new layer of smooth skin underneath is visible. The 50% Glycolic peel is generally well tolerated by experienced users but be aware that visible peeling might occur.

2

Ideal for Face and Full Body Exfoliation

This 50% Glycolic Acid Peel is ideal for full body exfoliation to resurface the skin and promote a brighter, smoother complexion. The skin on the body is thicker than the skin on the face. It is sometimes necessary to use a stronger chemical peel to effectively penetrate the thicker layers of body skin, such as the elbows, knees, back and legs. This 50% Glycolic Acid peel is strong enough to exfoliate and texturize coarse, resistant skin.

3

Brightens Skin Tone, Fades Discoloration, Restores Sun Damaged Skin

As the 50% Glycolic acid exfoliates the top layer of skin, the smoother, brighter skin tone underneath will be revealed. To further enhance the skin lightening process, this peel is formulated with proven skin whitening agents: Kojic Acid, Bearberry, Mulberry and Licorice. They work simultaneously to fade dark spots and correct hyperpigmentation. The peel will not bleach the skin but it promotes clarity to reveal a brighter, even-toned complexion.

4

Stronger than Lactic but Milder than TCA

If you need a peel that is stronger than Lactic Acid but milder than a TCA peel, then this 50% Glycolic Acid is the ideal choice. You may feel a moderate sensation when the peel is applied and it is possible that slight peeling may occur a few days later, but it will not cause prolonged downtime.

5

Purges the Skin of Toxins, Oil & Acne Causing Bacteria

Glycolic Acid is a very effective acne treatment. It has the ability to go beyond the surface of the skin to eliminate germs, toxins and dead cells from the skin’s surface. Glycolic Acid helps to fight acne as it penetrates the skin’s epidermis to remove the debris from sebum filled follicles, unclog pores and eliminate blackheads.

6

Excellent for Anti-Aging as it Fights Wrinkles and Restores Youthful Appearance

The 50% Glycolic Acid peel will help to increase skin cell turnover on the surface of the skin as it stimulates new collagen and elastin. Once the glycolic penetrates inside the skin cells it ignites the formation of new collagen and this in turn reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It allows the healthier skin cells to be more visible on the surface so the skin looks younger and more refined. Glycolic Acid also forays the signs of aging as it allows the skin to become thicker, tighter and more firm.

 INGREDIENTS

Glycolic Acid, Deionized Water, Kojic Acid, Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi (Bearberry) Extract, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Morus Alba (White Mulberry) Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract

 Will the Peel Burn?

With a 50% Glycolic Acid Peel you may feel a moderate heat sensation during application of the peel. This will disappear as soon as the solution is neutralized and washed off.

Will My Skin Peel?

Everyone’s skin is different. During the healing process, peeling, redness, and scaling of the skin is normal. These symptoms usually subside within 3-7 days. If you frequently conduct mechanical or chem-exfoliation you may not experience much peeling with a 50% Glycolic Acid peel because the dead skin is regularly buffed away.

How Do I Apply a Chemical Peel?

This is the most common question that we get from those new to chemical peels. Chemical peels can be easily applied at home if you follow the directions carefully. The peel comes with a detailed instruction sheet that’s easy to follow. Basically, a chemical peel application involves:

  1. Cleansing the skin
  2. Applying the peel
  3. Let the peel remain on the skin for the recommended time
  4. Rinse with cold water
  5. Wear moisturizer and sunscreen for a few days after the peel

WARNING……

At-Home chemical peels are great but they are not for everyone. Before purchasing this product please be sure to carefully read all the warnings and precautions.

Do NOT Use this Peel if:

  1. You have sensitive skin or do not know how to apply At-Home Chemical Peels. Please note that the 50% Glycolic Acid Peel is for those with coarse, resistant, problematic, mature or very oily skin. It is NOT for those with ultra-sensitive skin.
  2. You are not willing to read the instructions and fully understand the risks and restrictions associated with the healing process
  3. You have used hair removal products, waxes, scrubs, Retin A, tretinoin products, or other exfoliating agents on the intended treatment area 48 hours prior to the peel
  4. You have sunburn, skin allergies, skin grafts, recent surgery, open wounds, lesions, inflamed skin or very sensitive skin
  5. You are pregnant or nursing
  6. You currently take Accutane (isotretinoin) or have within the past 6 months

  8. You are on immune suppressant drugs
  9. Undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
  10. You are prone to keloid scars

  12. You have unrealistic expectations. Multiple applications may be required to achieve optimum results

  2. Flawless Skin

I am amazed at how improved my skin's texture and appearance is after just one use! It does sting when you apply it but I was expecting that. Looks as good as a professional chemical peel. Packaged nicely and delivery was fast.

  3. Amazing product!

This really does give you the smoothest skin! Works wonderfully towards decreasing wrinkles and scars. The smell is pleasant and shipping quick.

  4. Easiest ever

Posted by Nordia on 13th May 2015

This chemical peel works great, as long as you read and follow the directions. Don't think you know better, and leave it on for longer, until your skin has built up the tolerance of the acid. It makes my skin very soft and evens out the tone, and helps with scars & sun spots. I love it! Use a brush or those flat round cotton pads to apply.

  5. Really worth it

Posted by Felicia on 13th May 2015

I have had professional peels before so I felt safe using this product at home. I will continue using it for maintenance as I have had very good results so far. The first treatment was very good and I had a fair amount of peling. I did a 2nd treatment 3 weeks later but didn't get much peeling. The instructions were so easy to follow. It is really a good idea to have the ice water handy to reduce the sensation. The peel has cleared up so much of my blemishes and my skin is much clearer. Skin texture looks so much better and no pores are showing. The downside is that the bottle is small so I had to buy more than one bottle. Thank you for this wonderful product.

  6. Good fro Rough Elbows

Posted by Rochelle on 13th May 2015

I have dark discoloration on both my elbows because of dead skin. I applied this product and left it on longer than what the instruction said. Results were almost instantaneous. Dead skin started peeling the following day. This product is awesome and will continue to use it following with my knees also.
