What is Salicylic Acid?

Salicylic Acid is a chemical solution derived from willow bark. It is the only BHA (beta hydroxy acid). Salicylic Acid is the unbeatable solution for treating acne, pimples, blackheads and enlarged pores. There is no other chemical peel that can vigorously attack acne the way Salicylic Acid does. If you look at the ingredients list of any acne product, you may notice that there is a 2% concentration of salicylic acid. However, if your acne is serious and recurring, then 2% is just not enough to really tackle the problem. Our 20% Salicylic Acid peel works vigorously to fight even the most problematic acne and clear your skin of unsightly blemishes.

Benefits of 20% Salicylic Acid Chemical Peel

Purges the Skin of Toxins, Oil & Acne Causing Bacteria

When it comes to acne you may need to go deeper to really combat the problem. Salicylic Acid has the ability to go beyond the surface of the skin to eliminate germs, toxins and dead cells from the skin’s surface. Salicylic Acid helps to fight acne as it penetrates the skin’s epidermis to remove the debris from sebum filled follicles, unclog pores and eliminate blackheads.

Improves Skin Texture and Repairs Sun Damaged Skin

Salicylic Acid is one of the chemical peels that will actually peel away the damaged top layer of the skin. Sloughing away the skin will help to remove the dark, leathery skin that has resulted from sun damage. This 20% Salicylic acid peel will fade discoloration and refine the skin’s texture so it becomes radiant, soft and clear.

Clears Blackheads, Pimples, Cysts, Acne Scars and Shrinks Pores

Salicylic Acid opens the pores and dissolves the fatty glue between the cells. This aids in purging oil from the skin and balances oil production. Salicylic Acid also eliminates bacteria inside the cells, reduces inflammation, curbs the occurrence of active pimples and helps to prevent future breakouts. It removes and prevents blackheads, pimples, whiteheads and cysts. Salicylic Acid also shrinks large pores and exfoliates rough, acne scarred skin to reveal a smoother, unblemished complexion.

Brightens Skin Tone, Fades Discoloration, Lightens Dark Spots

The whitening properties of this peel are further enhanced with the addition of skin lightening ingredients Kojic Acid, Bearberry, Mulberry and Licorice. They work simultaneously to fade dark spots and correct hyperpigmentation. It does not bleach the skin but it promotes clarity to reveal a brighter, even-toned complexion.

Deionized Water, Salicylic Acid, Kojic Acid, Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi (Bearberry) Extract, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Morus Alba (White Mulberry) Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract

What does a 20% Salicylic Acid peel feel like? Does it Burn?

There is some stinging and a mild sensation of heat while the 20% Salicylic Acid peel is applied and active on the skin. The sensation subsides as the peel is neutralized and washed off.

Will My Skin Peel?

The 20% Salicylic Acid peel will cause visible skin peeling. The first 2-3 days after the peel your skin will look red and feel tight and leathery. You will begin to peel approximately 48-72 hours after the peel. The skin peeling generally lasts 2-5 days. There is no pain while the skin is peeling but your skin will look like you have a severe sunburn.

How long is the Healing time?

The healing time for each person will vary as everyone’s skin is different. Here is a summary of what to expect. If you apply the 20% Salicylic Acid peel on a Monday, your skin should start peeling on Wednesday or Thursday. The skin will stop peeling 2 to 5 days AFTER THE PEELING STARTED (not 2-5 days after you first applied the peel).

How Do I Apply a Chemical Peel?

  1. Highly recommend it follow instructions!

Posted by Brianna on 13th May 2015

It is quite good so far and the product met my expectations. I had quite a lot of spots on my shoulders and down my neck and I use the salicylic acid to fight against them. Will continue to use on my arms now. Make sure you follow the instructions and don't leave it on too long

  2. Had to confess it Works Great for Acne & Large Pores

Posted by Gina on 13th May 2015

This is good for enlarged pores! For years I had large pores, acne spots and nothing really moved them. In 3 months I have i have gone through 3 bottles of this salicylic peel and my pores have shrunk and skin looks good. It doesn't burn once you get used to it. The price was more than fair when you compare it to what the doctors charge for prescription acne creams. I would recoomend this to anyone with large pores, blemishes or acne.
